The New Look Stravaigin Cafe Bar is now open!
Come and enjoy the new look with the same great food, drink and service.
‘The real surprise about Stravaigin Café Bar is that there is not a clutch
of imitators across the city’
Positioned above the restaurant, the café bar was intended to be a bar where
diners could have a few pre dinner drinks and the odd nibble. Ten years later,
the café bar has a life all of it’s own.‘Where else can you enjoy Cuban Black
Bean Fritters on Buttered Greens with your pint!’
The menu, voted the best for pub food in Glasgow by the Herald, is supplemented
with a list of daily changing specials from whole Mackerel with Puy Lentil
Salad and Aberdeen Angus Beef Balls in Peanut and Coconut Sauce to Deep fried
Mars Bars (by request). The haggis served in the Café-Bar and Restaurant has
recently been awarded The Best in Scotland, judged by Nick Nairn.
The staff are adept at keeping cool under pressure especially during pre-theatre
mobbings, and know the menu, cocktails and wines inside out (training and
sampling help).
